The Boston's Pizza Foundation & Local Efforts

Since its inception in 1998, the Boston’s Pizza Foundation has raised more than $400,000 dollars through various fundraising initiatives in Boston’s Pizza restaurants throughout the United States and Canada. The money we raise directly supports local and national nonprofit organizations that contribute to the health and well-being of children and families in need.
The Boston’s Pizza Foundation is proud to support the following charities:

Kids Matter International (KMI)

Kids Matter International is a Texas-based charity that is committed to helping children. Their mission is to bring healing to children around the world affected by debilitating conditions, from abandonment to chronic illness, so that they may become healthy, educated and viable members of their communities.

In 2010, Boston’s supported KMI’s local Kids Matter Around the Block! program by raising more than $61,000 and helping 768 underprivileged children from North Texas select new winter wardrobes.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is a leader in setting the agenda for diabetes research worldwide, and is the largest charitable funder of, and advocate for, type 1 diabetes research. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.

In 2010, Boston’s raised $100,000 for JDRF during its annual Valentine’s fundraiser to support the organization’s efforts in funding critical research toward finding a cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications.

“Solving the Puzzle of SIDS”

Each year Boston’s makes a contribution to the Children’s Hospital of Boston and Dr. Hannah Kinney, the leading Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) researcher in the nation.

 

National Boston's Pizza fundraising efforts have been a great success thanks to localized support from our guests!  Don't forget, each individual restaurant works with local charities in its community too because we know that every little bit helps and sometimes its difficult to get the support you need from larger, more broad focussed organizations. Boston's Coon Rapids has worked to help raise money for many organizations, some are as follows:  the Susan G. Komen foundation, Salvation Army, Red Cross, our local JDRF chapter, ALS Association (Lou Gehrig's Disease), local school sports teams, Violence Prevention Council of Anoka County (Child Abuse Awareness & Domestic Violence Awareness), and a local Anoka County family in an effort to raise awareness about bullying.
